If anyone wakes up in time this morning to go picking before it is unbearably hot, I am hoping to enjoy gathering, eating, cooking, and freezing some of these blue beauties before the day is out. Who knows? I might even make a pie!
I found a you-pick place on Craig’s list up on Centerville Road which I suspect is one I’ve been to in summers past and would love to go to again.
We are due for some rain this afternoon, which we desperately need. Who knows? A good rain may bring some modicum of relief from the 100 degree plus heat we’ve been having this week. Hope we can get to the berry-picking before it is too hot. Or too wet.
